Therefore, babble!
Today was mostly boring, until I got home with 2 big bags of shopping and couldn't open the door. The key turned in the lock but I couldn't push the door open. (I've managed to open it plenty of times before, by the way.) It has a tendency to stick, but never that badly. After 20 minutes of trying, I gave up and decided to wait for Neil. I knew he'd been planning to go swimming after work, so I'd have to wait a while. I was already hot and tired and this did not put me in a good mood. :-( As it turned out, he didn't go swimming--but it was because he didn't leave work till 18:00 :-(
This, of course, meant dinner didn't get started till 19:00. The guy from Kodak was supposed to come around 20:00. At 20:40, dinner was ready (roast chicken and vegetables) and the guy wasn't there. 4 minutes after we started eating, he showed up! He can't come again this week so I've entrusted Neil with the appointment. It's for photographs, so I'm not really worried. (Hey, I've already let him pick venues without me. ;-) )
Neil was a complete sweetie and did the washing up though.
tomorrow night, Shaun of the Dead and Wagamama's (yum! I'm convinced that I've got a genetic attachment to noodles and dumplings. It might explain the Jewish love of Chinese food, too.)
