She was supposed to go in to get chipped and vaccinated at 11:00.
At 10:10 I got the cage out. I stupidly did this while I was downstairs printing out the instructions for the vet, before I got dressed. Cage + woman getting shoes on = suspicious cat. I managed to find her and went for the cage. She struggled. A lot. And remember, she's a 15-lb ball of fur. She escaped.
This started off a half hour person-and-cat game, during which she hid under beds. Big beds. She was immune to bribery, too. I got a yoghurt and tried to coax her out. When she got towards the edge, she realized what was up and went back.
I managed to get her out twice, once through moving furniture and once by simply grabbing her by the scruff of her neck, but she successfully resisted the cage both times.
I have rescheduled the vet's appointment for 10:30 tomorrow. Perhaps I should have scheduled it for 8:30; then my mother could have helped with the caging. :-)
