alexist at 03:52pm on 23/03/2004I spent yesterday being ill and cranky. It was doubly unfair to him as he tried being nice to me but basically got told to go amuse himself so I could be ill in peace. Nice vacation huh? Despite sleeping all day I had a fairly early night, a little after 11pm.
This morning I did my usual "no I am NOT a morning person" routine (though not quite as cranky as yesterday). We had a look round Fortunoff--tooo many wedding rings! Also had a quick look around china and stuff--we're not registering here, but I wanted to see if we had similar thoughts on things, as I won't have much time when we register [hopefully in May]. Since we've got next to nothing, it's going to be quite a sizeable wedding list--though I wish to assure all guests reading this that we don't expect to get all of it! I just think it's better to put it all on the list, give everyone a wide choice of what to buy and how much to spend, and then work out the rest later. Luckily, we were on the same page in terms of style (I thought we would be!)
After some lunch we went to look for invitations. I didn't think this would be too painful and it wasn't--again, same taste (not too plain, not fussy) and we had the same ideas on wording and so on. So that got done quickly--one more thing to cross off :-)
Now we're home, I've baked 2 cake layers for tiramisu, and I have to start dinner in a bit. No idea what's up later!
