Saw this:

http://www.cyberpresse.ca/reseau/perso_2003/index.shtml

La Presse (major Quebec paper) named Yasser Arafat their person of the year in international affairs! The translation of the blurb (someone else's, but it seems to jibe with the French):

"Yasser Arafat marked international news in 2003. He handed over partial powers to a prime minister; encouraged peace talks in the middle east, while threatened with death by the Israeli state. For his courage and tenacity in trying to advance his people's cause, Cyberpresse names him Person of the Year for 2003 in the area of International Affairs."

Readers now have the option to vote for Arafat among 12 category winners for the overall person of the year.

All Yasser Arafat did was sell his people down the river to keep himself in power. You don't have to be pro-Israeli to oppose Arafat.

Laura Innes has been moved to the last spot in the ER credits.

Is this a sign that she's the next to go? (The past 3 occupants of that slot have all left.)

Not as if they've bothered giving her an actual storyline this year, anyway. Or even screen time.

(Oh, and they've got French aid workers spewing stereotypical anti-American crap. Come on, ER's better than this. Or it used to be.)
