My mother and sister are actually planning to go see Gigli tonight.

I asked them, "what in the name of God is making you waste $9 each on a movie NO ONE has said anything good about?"

They didn't have an answer, but are going anyway!

phoned Craig at 1:30am. (it's 3h earlier for him). His roommate was having a party, so he asked if he could call back an hour later. He did, we chatted for an hour, and I got told off by Mom 3 times for talking too loudly and waking her up :)

I haven't had really long phone calls much lately. I used to be terrible. I once had a 7hr call :-) (Long distance, not my bill thank God). In fact, Craig once called me for 5 hours...

1. What were your favorite childhood stories?
Another Roald Dahl fan.

2. What books from your childhood would you like to share with [your] children?
Again Dahl, for the subversiveness :)

3. Have you re-read any of those childhood stories and been surprised by anything?
Re-read them occasionally. Not really surprised per se, except by how good they still are. I think good literature is universal, regardless of the target age group.

4. How old were you when you first learned to read?
2 (and a bit). I remember teaching myself and going to my mother (who was on the phone) and saying "Mommy! Mommy! I can read!!"

5. Do you remember the first 'grown-up' book you read? How old were you?
Can't remember which, but I probably started on "grown-up" books around 11 or so.

1. What time do you wake up on weekday mornings?
I am unemployed. I may wake up anytime from 7:30am to 3pm :-)

2. Do you sleep in on the weekends? How late?
Don't sleep any later than usual (thank God). Try to be up before noon.

3. Aside from waking up, what is the first thing you do in the morning?
Go to the bathroom, and on the way, hit my mouse so my PC comes back from standby. :)

4. How long does it take to get ready for your day?
I can do it in 20 minutes, but prefer 40 (I shower and wash my hair before bed).

5. When possible, what is your favorite place to go for breakfast?
Don't have a favorite. I know the kind of place I'd like to have though: not too posh or expensive, but with good food. Real orange juice (not reconstituted frozen), good omelettes, real maple syrup with the pancakes, etc :)
