Hit 94°F/34°C today, supposed to be close to that all week.
Room's almost back to normal. I did the first set of bookshelves on Sunday, but left the 2nd (the one with all the double-racked paperbacks, no less) until today. (In order to move the bookcases for painting, you have to take all the books out--they're simply too big and impossible to move with everything on them.) Most of the books are back on the shelves now, except the bottom two of paperbacks. They were stacked in order in the dining room, but I knocked into the stacks and made a mess. So I just brought them up in armfuls and dumped them on the bed--I'll sort them out later. I have to fix them anyway; buying the new Harry Potter means I have to shift everything downward, and that bookcase was as full as it was going to get, as is the other big one. The little set of shelves on my desk has long been overflow from the main shelves (for example, about half my cookbooks are on the top, and my dictionaries and reference books are in the middle), but it's pretty much hit its limit too. This is going to take some creativity. I can't fit any more shelves in here :-)
I've also got only 1 slot left in the DVD rack and no room for a 2nd (DVD rack is on the dresser). It's a good thing I can't afford to buy any more, I guess!
