Decided on a very light blue in the end. Of course, this necessitated comparing 20 swatches of very slightly different shades of blue, trying to decide which was right ;-) (Mom went to Home Depot yesterday and got a whole stack of swatches so we could do the comparisons properly.)

I can just imagine your typical man being forced to witness this:

"Sweetie, what do you think? The 'Celestial' or the 'Rain Drop'?"

(Man can't tell the difference.) "Oh, I don't know, honey, they're both nice."

(Woman squints, holds swatches at arms length, holds them up towards light.) "Hmm... I think the 'Celestial' is a little too purple. What do you think?"

(Man pretends to look carefully.) "No, I think it's fine."

(Woman hmms again.) "No, the 'Celestial' is definitely too purple, but I'm not sure about this other one either." (Woman shuffles through more swatches.) "What about these?" (They look identical to the first two to the Man. He groans, realizing he is rapidly progressing through the circles of Hell.)

It's unloading all the crap from the room so it can actually be painted.
