I've got pasta :)

I remembered that there was leftover sauce in the fridge, so I heated it up and boiled up some penne.

More sadness: After watching Adaptation, I actually e-mailed my sister to find out if they'd filmed the elevator scene in the Conde Nast building (Conde Nast is a big magazine publisher; the New Yorker is one of their titles). I didn't know if she'd still been working there when they filmed it (she left last May, and I don't know when it was filmed) but I described it to her and she said it looked the same. I probably wouldn't have cared if Jen hadn't worked in that building for 2 years. I also knew that they'd filmed the office scenes for Vanilla Sky there. Kurt Russell asked my sister if he could borrow her lighter ;-)

have just made paneer (you can't buy it ready made here except in Indian stores--and it's not as if it's terribly difficult to make!)

Finally got in touch with Bosch. The repair service will have the part within 2 days and we'll have it fixed next week.
