I zonked out at 20:30 last night, and woke up at 01:00. I couldn't fall back asleep.

Everyone else was up by the unholy hour of 05:30. My mother got this weird early-morning energy and decided to clean the kitchen floor. Then she decided to clean the carpet. Finally, she cleaned the refrigerator (and needed me to get the bins back in). Grandma decided to nag a bit.

Sleep is now impossible. I also have a headache and my forehead is sore. And just for extra fun, the patch of eczema on my left knee has flared up again.

Oh, and I'm hungry but there's nothing for breakfast and I don't really want to cook anyway! I've just taken a couple of Met, so I'll probably feel queasy soon enough. I should know better than to take it on an empty stomach, but if I forget, I'll miss a dose. Yesterday, I had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Took 2 Met at the end. An hour after I got home, my intestines did something that can only be described as "spectacular". Hmm. I didn't even HAVE cheesecake. I had the Cajun Jambalaya Pasta (which didn't taste that spicy at first, but by the end my tongue was tingling. I actually ate about ¾ of it! Their portion sizes are huge even for America. But I hadn't eaten for the rest of the day so my carbs should've been OK.) Maybe it was punishment for having 100g of chocolate Thursday night....

(met = metformin = glucophage by the way, 2x500mg 2x/day. I'm past the worst of the side effects, but they do recur occasionally.)

On the other hand, I've lost another pound, go me.

Sense a theme of grouchiness here? :(

We have a garage for 1 car, and driveway space for 2 (if we squeeze).

Lately Mom has insisted that we NOT use the driveway so we leave the garage clear for her. That's bad enough.

Jen has returned Carly's car, and parked it in front. Grandma's behind her. Now Rob left HIS car in the driveway, right in the middle. I'm parked in front of the neighbors!

Now that we're back to 4 cars, Mom can't be such a hog, especially since she gets home last. It's going to have to be first come, first served. :)

Jen's gone to pick up her new car. So we'll briefly have Rob's, Jen's, Mom's, mine, Carly's, and Grandma's...!!!!

Garage empty

Rob & Jen in drive (2001 blue Jetta turbo, tricked out, suspension lowered, enormous rims; Black Nissan Pathfinder, new, slightly pimped--Rob hasn't gotten his hands on it yet)

Street in front of house:
Carly (Silver 2001 Honda Civic EX coupe, dent by the right headlight that needs to be fixed)
Grandma (Black 2002 Jetta)
Me (green 1996 Jetta GLS, 133K, pretty awful on the passenger side thanks to me trying a very tight park next to a pole)

Street opposite house:
Mom (pewter 2003 Mercedes C230)

Jen and Rob will be leaving shortly. Tomorrow Jen will be taking the Honda back so she can have the body shop fix the dent (insurance has already paid; someone hit Carly).

Had a half order of ravioli filled with spinach and cheese, and some amazingly garlicky chicken :-)

Got a piece of Italian cheesecake to take home too, which I shall have later!

Just remembered, really must take all the bottles to the A&P for refunds... also need dog food.

Poor Abby & Zoe, they're being boarded at the vet's for a week while we go away :o(
