I know a lot of people who oppose the war on Iraq. I don't totally disagree with them. But I will make one request: If you're thinking of going to a rally or march, check it out. At previous rallies, the range of opinions expressed has gotten ugly (the Star of David equated to the swastika, a left wing rabbi not allowed to speak because he believes in the State of Israel). There's a lot of linkage in the British press between Iraq and Israel/Palestine. You're free to believe as you like, and I won't try to tell you that every anti-Israel opinion--or even anti-Zionist opinion--is anti-Semitic, because it's BS. But there are people out there crossing the line, and people blaming the war on the Jews. You may argue that you'd just be going to oppose action on Iraq. In practical terms, though, you're encouraging this kind of stuff. If no one stands up to object to it, they'll keep going, and go further.
