I saw an Idaho license plate the other day. It said "Famous Potatoes" on it. I checked, and it seems that's actually the standard plate. I think Idaho may now have beaten Kansas for the "Most Boring State in the Union" title. Who wants to be known for potatoes?! I mean, yeah, everyone (in the US) calls Russet potatoes Idahoes, and they do grow more than any other state, but it's not exactly an exciting crop. It's pretty much near bottom, in fact. The only worse thing I could think of would be "Famous Rutabagas".
