I'm up at 9:30am. Pity me.
I had an evil dietician's appointment yesterday. She was very nice actually; it's just that she told me what I was expecting and didn't want to hear--I've got to do carb counting. It's like the diabetes diet, except I don't have rigid amounts of fat and protein exchanges. I only get 12 starch exchanges a day. :-( (Each exchange is 15g of carbohydrate.) We all know I won't quite manage that, at least at first! I will try to incorporate her other suggestions, though. Like I said, she was nice and did work with me--she asked first what I ate normally (I was almost truthful) and based my diet plan on that. My diet's not that bad, actually, so she didn't have to make many changes to what I ate. I just have to measure the portions.
